About the product

4 questions

ROUNDIE is a golf SNS app that lets you record and share each 18-hole round as "a one-of-a-kind color grid".

Beyond just the score numbers, you capture photos, weather, playing partners, and a line about the day on a single round card — a story to keep with your friends. React to rounds with Kudos (six of them: Nice shot, Nice birdie, Nice putt, Nice fight, Mood maker and Best buddy), get fired up in competitions, and push each other on through ranks and rankings. A community for keeping golf enjoyable, for the long run.

Where most golf apps focus on score management, ROUNDIE is built around "sharing the memory of every round with the friends who play it with you".

Your 18 holes turn straight into a six-color grid, so the shape of the day comes across even without showing the score numbers. Your rank comes from one simple thing — your average strokes across every 18-hole round — so you know where you stand from your very first round.

  • iOS: Live on the App Store. Search for "ROUNDIE" to install it
  • Android: In preparation. Sign up on the Early Access form and we'll notify you at launch

iOS launched officially on the App Store in August 2026. Android is in preparation, and everyone who pre-registers will get a notification the moment it goes live. We started in the Japanese market and are working toward wider international availability.

About features

5 questions

One square is one hole. The color comes from how that hole went against its par.

Result on the holevs. parColor
Eagle or better−2 or lowerGold
Birdie−1Red
Par0Green
Bogey+1Blue
Double bogey+2Purple
Triple bogey or worse+3 or higherDark slate

Because par is the reference, the same 4 strokes show up as red on a par 5 and green on a par 4. One glance tells the story of the day, with the score numbers kept to yourself.

There are 10 ranks, decided by one number: your average strokes across every 18-hole round (lower is higher). There are no seasons — every round you log updates your average, and your rank moves with it right away.

RankAverage

REGULAR90–99
PLAYER100–109
CHALLENGER110–119
ROUNDER120–129
STARTER130–139
ROOKIE140 or over

One logged round is enough to get a rank and join the rankings (under 3 rounds it carries a * to mark it as provisional, but the calculation is exactly the same). You can record and share 9-hole rounds too — they simply stay out of the average.

  • Free plan: Host as many competitions as you like, with up to 4 players each
  • Pro plan: Competitions with 5 or more players, up to 100, as often as you like
  • Compe Pack: $9.99 / 1 competition (a one-time purchase for hosting a single competition with 5 or more players)

When you post a round card, choose from 3 levels: "Public / Friends Only / Private". You can change this per post, and choose whether or not to display the score numbers. Competition results can be hidden from participants until the host announces them.

When creating a competition, choose from 2 types: Stroke / New Peria (Double Peria). "New Peria" and "Double Peria" are two names for the same format, so we list them as one.

New Peria picks 12 of the 18 holes as "hidden holes" and derives a handicap from how those went (capped at 36). It's the most widely used format in Japan, and it keeps a competition fair when beginners and advanced players play together.

About visibility

3 questions

Visibility follows what you choose when posting. Choose "Private" and only you can see it. "Friends Only" means visible to your followers; "Public" means all users can view it. You can also choose separately whether to display the score numbers or only the color grid.

Yes. When posting, select "Private" and the round will be recorded as visible only to you. You can change the visibility later as well.

You can choose the disclosure method.

  • Host reveal (default): Results stay hidden from all participants until the host presses the reveal button. Until then, everyone just sees who has finished entering their scores
  • Real-time: Rankings update as scores are entered, visible to everyone

Account & data

2 questions

When you delete your account, all rounds, comments, competition history, and other data you posted will be deleted. Recovery is not possible after deletion, so please proceed carefully. If there are records you'd like to keep, the surest way is to save your round cards and color grids as images before you delete.

Full data export in JSON / CSV format is in preparation, and an in-app export isn't available just yet. From a privacy-first perspective, we're building a way for you to take all of your data with you.

In the meantime, anything you'd like to keep on hand can be saved as an image from the share option on a round detail or competition result.
