Deleting Your Account
Last updated: October 12, 2026 / Provided by: KANOPY Inc.
You can delete your ROUNDIE account from the app at any time. If you no longer have the app, you can request deletion by email.
01Delete in the app
- Open the ROUNDIE app and tap the "Profile" tab at the bottom
- Tap the gear button (Settings) at the top right
- Tap "Delete account" at the bottom of Settings
- Tap "Delete" on the confirmation screen to start the deletion (it can take about a minute to finish)
02Request deletion by email
If you can't use the app — for example, because you removed it or changed devices — send a request to the address below. You don't need to reinstall the app.
| To | [email protected] |
|---|---|
| Subject | Account deletion request |
| Include | The email address you registered, how you sign in (email / Apple / Google), and your ROUNDIE ID (if you know it) |
To confirm it's you, please send the request from the email address registered with ROUNDIE. If you write from a different address, or if you signed up with Apple's "Hide My Email", we may send you questions to confirm your identity. Once confirmed, we will delete your account within 30 days at the latest and let you know by email when it's done.
03Delete some of your data without deleting your account
You can keep your account and delete individual records, posts, and other data. In the app:
- Round records — Open the round, then tap "…" (More) at the top right → "Delete round". Posts linked to that round are deleted along with it.
- Posts — Tap "…" (More) on your post → "Delete" ("Delete record" for a round record post).
- Round photos and videos — On the round's details, tap "Edit photos & videos" to delete them one at a time.
- Comments — Tap the trash button next to your comment. The text of the comment is deleted right away.
- Profile — Go to "Profile" → the gear button (Settings) at the top right → tap your profile at the top to open "Edit Profile". Tap "Remove" under your photo to delete your avatar. To delete your bio or golf history (start year), clear the field and tap "Save" at the top right.
- Follows — On the other person's profile, tap the "Following" button to unfollow.
Deleted posts and rounds stay in "Recently Deleted" in Settings for 30 days, and you can restore them during that time. After 30 days, they are permanently deleted.
For data you can't delete in the app (such as records sent for defect investigation or usage analytics), email [email protected]. Include the kind of data you want deleted, the email address you registered, and how you sign in. Once we confirm it's you, we will delete it within 30 days at the latest and let you know by email when it's done.
04What is deleted
- Your profile (display name, ROUNDIE ID, avatar, bio, etc.) and sign-in information
- Round records and scores
- Posts, photos, videos, comments, and reactions
- Follow and follower connections
- Tournaments you joined or host
- Earned badges
These are deleted from our database as soon as you complete the deletion. Deletion cannot be undone. If there are records you want to keep, save your round cards or color grids as images before deleting.
05What remains after deletion
- Records sent to external providers — Records sent for usage analytics (PostHog) are deleted along with your account (PostHog may take some time to complete the deletion). Records sent for defect investigation (Sentry) and purchase management (RevenueCat) are not automatically linked to account deletion; they are deleted when each provider's retention period ends (Privacy Policy, Article 7). If you'd like them deleted sooner, contact [email protected]. We will ask each provider to delete them.
- Purchase records — Your purchase history on the App Store or Google Play is managed by Apple and Google. For payment-related records we keep, we remove information that identifies you (your user UUID, transaction IDs, etc.) when you delete your account, and retain only the product, amount, currency, country, and date and time as accounting records for the period required by law (e.g., 7 years under tax law) (Privacy Policy, Article 8).
